Walker Bay® Boats Inc. launches the AirDock™, a new innovative inflatable dock that is designed using their proprietary AirWeb™ High-Pressure Construction (patent pending), making it the most rigid and stable inflatable dock in the world. “As product innovators we are constantly developing ideas and identifying new opportunities,” said Paul Roberts, VP of Sales and Marketing for Walker Bay Boats. “The AirDock is not only fun, it is one of the most useful and versatile products for on-water living. The added benefit of being compact and portable makes it ideal for boaters, campers and cabin owners.”
Durable, Stable & Versatile
AirWeb is formed from a heavy-duty seven-layer polymer coated fabric that is joined inside by thousands of drop-stitch fibers, much like an elaborate web, making it possible to inflate to more than 6.5 PSI or 0.45 bar. This creates a rigid platform that is strong enough to endure several adults, kids and even the family dog. Underneath the deck, there are four Aqua-Loc™ ballast bags (patent pending) to trap water and prevent the AirDock from slipping on the water’s surface. The result is an extremely stable, firm platform that one can walk on, or even dive from. The 16 heavy duty stainless steel D-rings are attached in the same way as the towing rings on inflatable boats ensuring the dock will be secured to your boat, anchor or other docks. At a little over 60 sq. ft., it makes the perfect dock for swimming, sunbathing, wake boarding, water skiing or diving and with the 360 marine rope handle it’s perfect to dock your personal watercraft or tie to the stern of your pleasure boat.
Portable, Stowable, Easy to Use & Maintain
Unlike a traditional wood dock, the AirDock is compact, stowable, and requires no maintenance other than simple cleaning. Weighing only 22 kg, and measuring 90 x 50 x 32 cm (deflated) in its own custom carry bag, the AirDock is easy to pack away and stow in your boat, camper or cabin when not in use. Each dock comes with a high-pressure hand pump for quick inflation. With an expanding range of accessories, the AirDock offers the options of utility covers, coolers, pillows and sun covers.
Pricing and Availability
The AirDock retails for $1,999 and comes with a 6 month limited warranty. Measuring almost 8 ft in length and beam, and with a thickness of 8 inches, the AirDock has more than one ton of buoyancy. AirDock will be available in April 2008 through Walker Bay Dealers & Distributors.
